Elaine Fitch

Elaine L. Fitch is the Managing Partner of Kalijarvi, Chuzi, Newman & Fitch, P.C. where she has worked since May 2002. The firm practices exclusively in all aspects of the employment relationship, including security clearance cases, as well as union representation, discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, disabilities, foreign service, discipline, family & medical leave, whistleblowers, and non-compete agreements. She is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, Haas School of Business (B.S. 1989) and Hastings College of the Law (J.D. 1996). Ms. Fitch has been rated an AV Preeminent attorney by her peers, and has regularly been selected as a Washington, DC Super Lawyer and one of the District’s “Top Lawyers,” in the Employment area. In addition, Ms. Fitch was elected a member of The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation. Ms. Fitch serves on the Board of the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia and previously served on the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association, as well as on the steering committee for the D.C. Bar’s Law Practice Management Section. Ms. Fitch also serves as a Member of the Lowell School’s Board of Trustees.

Ms. Fitch’s practice is heavily focused on security clearance matters. She represents individuals throughout the U.S. and abroad. In addition, Ms. Fitch’s practice areas include disability issues, employment law, discrimination and harassment, federal sector, and internal investigations.
