Publisher’s Note: Due to the many changes in the security clearance arena taking place now and throughout the next few months, the new, Fourth Edition, of the Security Clearance Law and Procedure book has been postponed until Summer 2018. Perhaps of greatest significance, the adjudicative guidelines were just revised and will be effective in June of 2017. These new guidelines will apply across the board, as compared to previously when different agencies applied different guidelines. By delaying the publication of this book, we will be able to include all new guidelines, as well as being able to cite to any new DOHA decisions based upon the new guidelines.
Security Clearance Law and Procedure offers representatives, attorneys, and union representatives a comprehensive and authoritative analysis of security clearance law. The text is broken into major areas of security clearance jurisprudence with expert discussion of governing case law, Adjudicative Guidelines, regulations, statutes, and Executive Orders. Case analysis focuses on the issues presented when security clearances are granted, denied, and revoked.
The 2018, fourth edition, updates changes in guidelines, regulations, statutes, and cases analyses since 2014. The new edition studies what impact the newly-created National Background Investigations Bureau (NBIB) has on the clearance process and how social media can impact a security clearance.
